I have been wanting to upgrade my Surface Pro 4 to something more like Surface Book or the like. I enjoyed my surface, but started to dislike the way it would sit with just the true-type keyboard. I saw this product a while ago, but it was just for iPad's. So when the chance came to get one for a surface, I was beyond ecstatic.
Good:
Good weight to counter the surface, and balance like a laptop
3 levels of backlit keys to make it easy to type in darker areas
long battery life (6 months, but I have not had it that long)
Good travel on the keys to make it way easier to type on.
Full laptop keys, so normal people will not get cramps using this.
Function keys to enhance the usablity
Easy to slide surface in and out without it feeling too tight, or too loose
Good:

Hinges do not rotate together, so getting them lined up is bothersome when in a hurry.
So times I can see slight discoloration near where it makes contact with the screen, this was solved be spreading the clips alittle. But it made it too loose for my liking when carrying it.

Would have been better to have a releasable clamp to attach the surface to, making it secure and easier to remove when needed
Takes a while to wake up or connect if it has not been used for a long time.
Runs on same frequency as most modern mice, so it will either no type or it will make the mouse not work temporarily.

So I am still glad I got it, and I am sure I will be using it all the time. I would suggest this to someone that wants to convert their surface in to more of a laptop, but would also suggest using a external mouse .

Got this for a elderly relative that was not able to afford cable or phone. He needed something to pass the time during the stay at home COVID19 quarantine. So this was suggested and I jumped on it. Here is my run down of the product and set up, with the issues I encountered.
Good:
Simple design with minimal cabling
Light weight so it is easy to transport if needed
Since weight is light, it sticks to the window with no problem (comes with command strip adhesive)
Can be powered in many ways (usb to tv, usb to power brick, or usb to wall adaptor.
Easy Coaxial cable installation to tv connection.
Bad:
Bar Code that was scanned kept coming up as invalid during setup
Antenna is slim, so folding and creasing are very possible and will affect the product
Attempting to connect via bluetooth was a pointless endeavor. I would show up as a device, but would never connect.
Little to no real instructions to explain how to best setup, use, or change the scanning of channels
Customer service was a joke. No "hello how may I help you", it was "yeah"( as in, what do you want). Then they were trying to blame the age of my phone (sorry it is a Pixel5 so that does not factor in to this)
Ugly:
Unable to find troubleshooting, installation, or forums about this product, so I was left to my own devices during the whole setup.
Not all tv's are against the window, or close by. So more length of cables would be nice, even if using a adaptor to join them.

So end result was I was able to get it installed, got channels scanned and he is watching HDTV to his hearts content.
I would not recommend this to older people as it requires a account, Bluetooth, WIFI and a lot of patience to install this.

Got this phone on a whim as my other one was a few years old. I have been surprised by some features and let down on others. Here is my breakdown.
Likes:
Battery life is incredible. I have gone 2 days with wifi, location, and bluetooth running 24/7. The battery modes are a godsend.
High rez screen with excellent color and speed.
Screen refresh is a game changer with 90hz refresh that makes videos so smooth to watch.
Loud system sounds, which is good for me, as I mostly have it in my pocket at work.
Strong vibration on silent mode.
Icons can be changed to your liking (themes to be more exact).
Smaller size is more comfortable to carry in pocket ( mine other phone is a XL sized one)
Camera is same as previous versions of Pixel, but the added lens and night time mode makes it much better for daily use.
Case is slightly textured already, so holding it is easier.
Metal body with rear cutout (you can't see it) for wireless charging.
Reverse charging is epic, With the ability to charge my headphones in case they need it but setting them on top of phone.
Google OS 11 is a wonder to behold with all the added features and tweaks for this phone to use.
Dislikes:
Although it is a small body phone, it is not easily useable as a single handed phone.
New OS takes the home, back and running program listing off the bottom part of display and you have to use a gesture to use them. You can change this is the settings, but until you do, just be prepared for some frustration.
No headphone jack ( I like them, some don't)
Speaker is not at top exacly, but under the glass. Which is fine for some, but I keep trying to get nearer to the speaker when I am talking to someone.
Speaker (2) not being at top and under the glass, lets everyone in the close area around you hear your calls.
Text size is to vast in difference to be good. I had a hard time reading under the normal setting and used medium. It works until you go into something like messages and then it is way too big. Can't find a happy in between.
Sides are too sensitive. so if you are playing a game and touch the sides, it will pause the game, or close it.
Side squeeze to activate assistant is gone.
Case is needed. Otherwise you might not be able to hold phone to ear without the possibility of dropping it .
When screen shot is activated, it will minimize the screen and take a picture. However, it will also cut off the bottom portion where the screen capture option is. Thus not capturing the whole page or picture.

I am glad I got the phone for many reasons. However I am tempted to go back to my older phone since I had all the settings the way I liked them and it was easier to hold.

I needed anew smartwatch since my last one died. This was right up my alley to what I was looking for . However, there were somethings that I wish it did and didn't do.
Likes:
Lightweight and solidly built.
Comfortable strap and clasp
Good size face and controls
Speaker for phone calls or audio (like google and music)
Minimal interface (not a menu maze) with simple 4 way swipe
Power adaptor magnetically connects to back of watch.
Easy to read text as it has variable viewing sizes.
Strap does not cause me to sweat up a storm with silicone as material.
DIslikes:
Power cable is only for watch and does not use any common connectors. (so you lose it or forget it, you are out of luck)
Does not always push emails, texts, etc from phone. So many times I have missed important notes only to look later at my phone and see them there.
Unable to move menu items around, so the ones I use the most might not be at the top, so I have to search for them.
Battery is good, but extended and custom mode is pretty much useless since you can can't configure them the way you like.
Limited watch faces (unless you download a separate program to watch and phone) that do not really look different or are hard to read time with all the added icons.
Always wants to know your location, even if the item does not need to know.
Unable to turn off fitness features to save battery, or to not have the light blinding you when you pick it up or take it off your wrist.
Unable to add any additional programs or features with WearOS being a joke compared to other watch OS's.

I needed something that had a wider field of view and this did the trick. I can see more of my background and have multiple options (and positions) in which to use it. So here are my likes and dislikes on this unit.
Like:
High quality capture and sound.
Multiple capture angles for whatever you may need
Sturdy stand
Lens cover for the times it is not in use
Long USB connection cable for getting away from the computer (like center of table)
Dislikes:
Every viewing option (single, group, 180 and 360 views) is fish eyed. so anything close to the lens is distorted like you are being sucked into a blackhole.
At time of review, there is no software to install (only microsoft auto driver install) to let me use it outside of a streaming call.
Unable to use for regular video capture, since it is not recognized in windows as a camera. Only use is in streaming program (skype, zoom, greet, etc) .
Lens cap is does not snap on so a slight bump will knock it off.
Comes with little to no instructions, so "installing" it is a mystery. It does not even tell you if anything is attached when plugged in.

So as it stands, it will be useful as a 180 or 360 degree camera for conference calls, or teaching classes when live students return. But for the real reason I got this, it will not work. I can not have distortion or wide fished viewing for my lectures and/or visual aids.

I was in the market for a new coffee maker as my wife hated the spout the old one had (too wide and was prone to spilling easy). Therefore when this was available I thought I would give it a chance.
1. 14 cup carafe (check)
2. Large water capacity (check)
3. Programable with strength settings (check)
4. Easy to grip and pour the morning mood enhancer (check)
5. Re-useable gold mesh coffee filter (have not used)
6. Keeps coffee warm for long time and has timer so you know how long since it was brewed.
7. Slightly slimmer than my old device so saves some counterspace.

3. Instead of a single button to start the delay brew, you basically need to re-setup the delay each time (hit program, then hold program 3 secs, confirm time that is flashing, then press program again).
4. Power cord is way short. So if you have cabinets overhead you might need a power strip to use this.
With all these things, for and against I would still buy it again. So there you go. My two cents and opinion on this product.

Got these since my other in-ear headphone kept falling out. I was hoping that the hooks would solve this issue, and they did to a point. So here is the Good, Bad and Ugly of these.
Good:
sound (when using jlabs sound), light, case charging, attached charge cable (to a certain degree as it is short), wireless charging ability, and battery life.
Bad:
Putting in ear with out activating the "tap" controls. I will would be putting them in and would turn off the ANC, EQ and volume before fully getting it inserted.
Since left and right can be used separately, it would drop and reconnect a lot during normal use (going back and forth between ears).Also I took right one out and it connected fine, However, when i decided to use the left, that one connected to my phone (which was first device it was set up with. So now I have audio in right and phone sounds in the left. I had to put them both can in the case and remove them at same time to get stereo audio again
Ugly:
Volume is really low when used on laptop. I had youtube at max volume, my laptop at max volume and headphones at max. Still it was about maybe 65-70% of normal levels.
Biggest issue I have with them is how the fit in the case. The right headphone is on the left and the left headphone is on the right. Which makes it hard to just go to the right side and grab the right headphone quickly. Not to mention, the way they charge is weird. They will charge separately and not fully charge at same time. I used the right side and then placed it back in the case. Few hours later I removed them both and the app said with was 100%. About a hour later the right side announces the battery is low. So now I have to use them and then charge overnight to make sure I can get both to 100% battery.
So yes they have good and bad points. I will but them for light use for gym or any other activity that might require both headphones, but not for one earbud use unless I plan on charging them overnight in fear I would lose a side suddenly.

Was in the market for some "smart bulbs" to add to my existing home network. I have other items (plugs, assistants, etc), but wanted to get some bulbs for other rooms. So I thought this might do the trick. Here is the reason I am not able to use them.
1. only works on 2.4 Ghz wifi network. So my mesh (2.4/5 Ghz) system can not be used since it "meshes" together the signals. I am not sure of anyone that does not have a newer router that is only 2.4 Ghz.
2. Upon plugging in the bulb and turning it on. It started flashing 2 blinks a sec and gave me a headache almost instantly. I would not recommend for some with light sensitively or subject to seizures.
3. Unless you type in exactly what the app name is, you will never find it on the playstore.
4. App will not work unless you create a account for the company, use a activation code, turn on location services on the phone, and in my experience a phone that is using 2.4Ghz wifi connection to your router.
So sadly I must pack it up and try to find someone that has a older router/wifi system or else it was a waste of money. I was not able to get any of the 4 bulbs setup on any lamp, room, or available network connection in my house. Also the company website did not offer any troubleshooting for this issue except emailing a team the was "on vacation" and would reply back when back in the office.

I will make it quick for all you review skimmers.
Great battery life (both earphones and case)
Great design (both earphones and case)
OK sound (signature sound is only one worth using, The other 2 are bad)
Great Range with bluetooth
Switching from game to music back to game is easy as a touch to earphone.
Now the bad things:
no matter which earphone earpiece I use, I can not get it to stay in for very long. About a few mins of head moving and they fall out.
charging case is thicker than other brands, and you can not just drop them in as they will need a push to get them seated fully. Also it comes with a attached charging cable so it that is broken you can not charge your device.
earphones are extremely sensitive, so just putting them in your ear will change settings, volume, or even turn them off.

I have a much smaller (size and capacity) drive, but it was not fast enough to use on my laptop for gaming ( I run games off the external drive to make them portable). So I went on a hunt and found this gem. It is the size of a credit card and comes with both usb3 type A and C connections. This sucker is fast and shows no sign of slowing down. I moved my game over (over 18Gbs) in about 3 mins. A lot faster than my other SSD drive I was using prior. Like all good things you have to take the read/write with a grain of salt. Large files (movies and such) will transfer faster than a bunch of smaller files. this is due to finding, moving, registering and verifying each file. So you can see how a single file will be faster in this case.

Does this version of the phone have a locked bootloader?
the only one that comes unlocked is the one from the Google store. The one best buy has is locked to their network.

Will I be able to use my gear s2 with the pixel?
I have a Gear 2 and it does not work with it yet. when changing phones it will have to reset your watch and reconnect. The issue I have is, the watch can connect to the phone via bluetooth but can not be seen in the gear manager. I suspect it it is due to the app not being updated to work with a 7.1 phone. I hope this does get fixed soon, however it is a Google phone and it is a Samsung watch. So no one really guaranteed it would work together. In the past the watch only worked with Samsung phones.

When will these phones be available in stores without pre-order?
In most cases yes. However since a lot of people want it, you will find it sold out quite a bit until the first few weeks hype dies down. But keep looking and be ready to travel to a few locations before you find one available.

I currently have the Netgear NightHawk router. Will this be better than that, and should I get rid of that one?
keep the router if you need to use the usb for hard drive, printer, etc support. But I hooked mine up just strictly for the printer since the ORBI just blew the nighthawk out of the water with the wifi speed and range. I can now cover my whole apt with one unit and with the satellite hooked up I can get wifi almost half way up my block.

Q I am looking for1 Orbi router and 3 Orbi satellites for my big home, since Netgear is not giving the option to buy satellites individually ,will I be able to order two boxes of Orbi and be able to use one of Orbi router as a satellite ,? interchange
each set is already "synch'd" with each other and just requires a simple button press to join them. However I have heard that you can buy extra satellites soon and once you do, all you would have to do is hit the sync button on them and confirm the M.A.C address with the control panel for the main router. I will tell you from experience with "repeaters" that once they are connected it will give you wifi and it will be decent, but the speed will be cut in half of that of the main unit. That is just how it works in the real world. However since the wifi is quite fast and has large area of coverage you will most likely not notice that difference from a older router speed .
My wifi is running at 850Mbs and satellite runs around 500 Mbs, but since my older router was only pushing 300-400Mbs I did not really care since on that end of the house it was just tablets, phone and such that were maxed out on speed anyway

Will this prioritize devices like some other routers do?
I have the router and have not found the ability at this time to add options for priority. I have in past used keywords like "world or Warcraft, ftp, or Skype, to add to the router table but this only has multi-media enhancements for streaming audio and video. Since this is still new and with the bonuses it has already for speed and coverage, I would assume this option will be made available in future firmware/software updates

yes it will work since it pen sized mouse for all intended purposes. however only a few programs will give the pressure sensitivity to use the pen to it fullest.

can i use this with photoshop 6
you can use this for what ever program you would use a mouse for. that is what it is really. However since APS is working with Wacom you will get the rated pressure sensitivity in the program and any other drawing/art app that supports pens with pressure and not just a pointing device
