I tried a cheaper noise canceling headphone set, but the jack on that broke fairly quickly. So I decided to try these and I am not disappointed in the least. Sounds quality is great and the way they simply eliminate noise. Plane noise goodbye. Crying kid goodbye. Friggin' awesome.

I've had another pair of Bose headphones and these are a great new addition. These are my go to everyday use headphones. Good for travel, walking around get errands done or whatever.

Finally a pair of workout headphones that don't move around or fall out. Sounds isn't mind blowing, but it is pretty good and I don't have to stop and move the ear pieces around. I don't know if I have to thank adidas or sennheiser, but thank you.

RE: noise cancellation quality when not listening to music

My main purpose for buying noise canceling headphones is not to listen to music without distractions, but to have peace and quiet while not listening to music. Peace. Quiet. No music, either. So, how well does the noise cancellation perform when not listening to any music? When not listening to music, will conversations be blocked out? Or, do they perform better with reducing noises like air conditioner units, subway sounds, but do not do well with blocking out human speech?
These block out almost everything even while listening to no music. Just quiet. The button on the cord helps toggle the noise canceling on and off so you can hear a conversation or block it. You do get some noise coming through so it is not completely 100% no noise. it's like 98% blocked. it weird, but very cool.

Can I plug my Bose qc20i headphones into aiplane audio system>

I bought the Bose QC 20i noise cancelling earphones for travel because they are so small - but safety warning says don't plug into aiplane audio system or they will overheat, cause injurty etc. Is this for real or just over-cautious legal stuff?
I've used them on flights and had no problem plugging them directly into the planes entertainment system. Work great.
