I bought this for my mom to replace her VCR. That is right I said VCR. This device has menu options that were similar to setting up a VCR to record a TV show. She is now a master of this device. Now her ipad is a different story. LOL.

This cable is 8 foot long compared to most that are 3 or 6 foot long. I can tell you the 2 foot extra makes it a lot easier to move the sound bar when dusting. The 6 foot had to be disconnected to dust and I was concern disconnecting excessively would degrade the connection. Now we move easily to dust.

Will close captioning work with a sound bar?
Before installing the sound bar, we used closed captioning. Now that the sound bar is installed, closed captioning no longer seems to work. Am I missing something? I would like to be able to use close captioning for me and the sound bar for hubby.
I use closed captioning with my sound bar all the time. The CC option is set up in your display device (tv, dvd, or streaming device).
