It's a great looking monitor, both physically and display-wise. The unusual aspect ratio and resolution may give you some trouble with certain programs - especially games - however. If you know what you're doing going in, you shouldn't have problems, but if you have any doubts, stick with a regular 1080p monitor.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Responsiveness and trackpad
What's not so great: Having to tape on the pen loop
This is a bigger, better version of the keyboard and trackpad combination originally designed for the Surface Pro 2, but now obviously for the Surface Pro 3. The trackpad is no longer a felt-like material, but now slick and smooth, enhancing ease-of-use, and also is "clicky," so you better know when you're press a mouse button. It's still not as good as an external trackball or mouse (none of them are in my opinion), but an improvement is an improvement.
The only thing I didn't care for is that I had to stick the pen loop on myself (and while it doesn't exactly need exhaustive instructions, I would have preferred better documentation to make sure I was placing it in the right spot). While the pen loop has adhesive (sticker) on it, I'd much prefer the pen loop to already be attached. While I can understand Microsoft not wanting to do this so the user has flexibility with placement (if they want it on there at all), I'm concerned about how well this will remain in place after heavy use. We'll see.
If the pen loop is in no way a concern for you, add back the last star.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does it come with a pen?

It comes with a pen loop, but the pen comes with the Surface Pro 3, not the keyboard cover.

Yes, the pen loop is inside. You stick it on where you want yourself. The adhesive seems solid, though I'd prefer it already be attached.
