My first Aluratek - Indoor/Outdoor Wi-Fi Internet Radio had a dead touch screen. Sent it back and got another to replace it. But this one could not hold the WiFi signal. Too bad since this device did everything I wanted and had a really attractive design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: All that from a known quality provider
What's not so great: Haven't run into any negative elements
I had to buy this on the fly due to my other set going dead. Ordered online, picked it up an hour or so later, had it up and running in 45 minutes after getting home. Was pleased with the pic (didn't have time to see it in the store...just trusted the online reviews) right away. Controls and links to cable and DVD player went zip...no problem. Been using it several weeks now, and everything I've said still applies. I'd buy this set again.
This product has... Easy to set up, Great value and features for the price, Right number of connections, Easy to use remote control, excellent picture

can you turn off the sound when it turns on and off Most annoying

Yes...go > Menu > Set Up > Melody > Off
