I have the last of the Pioneer Elite plasma TVs. This TV is brighter and does well in a bright sunlit room. The menu is easy enough to understand, but I am happy I had the Geek Squad set it up, setting the default parameters. Since buying it, I have learned that it has one of the most powerful and advanced processors that will allow for future upgrades. I compared it to the LG OLED in the Magnolia showroom. The Sony seemed brighter, I am happy with the choice.

Every day Alexa learns new skills. She sets the temperature on my Nest, waters my lawn, times my cooking, keeps my shopping list, etc. The only problem I have had is when I listen to Jeopardy and a woman contestant answers with "WHO IS ..." Alexa answers.

I do not have cable and am buying an LG 1080 television to replace current kitchen television. Is there a way to use the 4k cable to assist in a better picture?

Will the Sonos Playbar support Dolby 5.1 with my new Sony X930D 55" television? I see some people say it will not but also that Sony released a firmware to allow Dolby 5.1 pass through via optical out. Would that give me 5.1 through the Playbar? Thanks!

Ethernet Connection
I want to make sure I completely understand how this system works. I am considering the soundbar and sub which is a 3.1 setup but may want to go ahead and purchase the 5.1 package. I will need to run this system over wifi as I do not have a wired connection in the room. Can I get by without a wired internet connection and get the advantage of 5.1? I am also considering the Bose 130 system. Thanks!
My system is entirely wireless (after plugging in to power.). The instructions are as clear as can be. Plug in the Soundbar. Download the app. Ad whatever additional Songs speakers yo have, woofer and/or rear. It tells you when to add them and plug them in. Then the app calibrates the system. I am sure that you can start with the frontal bar, and the you can run the app again as you add additional components.

Can it attach to a universal speaker bracket?
I have a Samsung TV that is already attached to a wall mount and it has a speaker bracket attached at the bottom. Is this able to attach to that without any issues?
