I Love this mouse. I don't have to keep moving it since it is a trackball. It connect easily with the Logitech unifying software/adapter. I use one unifying usb adapter and connects both my mouse and keyboard

Yes as long as the mouse is wireless and has the unify symbol on the mouse.

Does this keyboard have a CAPS LOCK indicator, either lighted or otherwise? It's a necessary feature for high production.
It does have cap lock on the keyboard and notifies of caps lock on on the screen when activated.

The specifications section on this page says system requirements are windows vista xp ,or 7. Is this product compatible with windows 8.1?
Yes it is and works with the new Windows 10 as well
