how close does the router need to be to the tv?
My router is one floor below with my desk top computer. Ask another person. There are different brands of routers.

how is the sound on this tv?

Do you need a sound bar ? our couch is only about 10 feet from the tv, a fairly average sized room.
Sound is fantastic, Our TV is 12-13 feet away.
