Joystick has great weight and the grip pads work well on smooth surface. Plug-in-play and Logitech's Game Controller software (downloadable) allowed for profiles per games. I use it with Need For Speed games as I like the throttle control which allows me to drive at under 35 mph speeds while I check out the road courses before the races. All buttons and stick functions were programmable within NFS games I own and that sure beats using the arrow keys on a PC keyboard.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Will it work with racing games?

I have Win7 and it runs my Need For Speed games great. All buttons and stick functions are programmable (map-able) from within Need For Speed.
