What's great about it: no hassel install

What's not so great: took a lot of updating before it could be installed

Put this on a new windows 8 machine, took about 4 hours worth of updates before the windows 8.1 upgrade would show up in the windows store. But the actual upgrade was easy to do, enter a key and your done.

this upgrade is a must if you do anything beyond what you want to do on a tablet, especially if you do software development.

What's great about it: scroll wheel

What's not so great: not great on all surfaces

In comparison to other optical mobile mice I have had this one is more sensitive to surfaces. But I think this is a side effect due to the extra battry life this mouse offers. All in all still a great mouse.

Does Windows 8.1 Pro Pack include Microsoft Access?

No that is an office product this just a windows upgrade. For access you should look at office product suite, I recommend office 365 if you have multiple devices you want office on.

I have recently purchased a new laptop installed with Windows 8 (not 8.1) I will need to upgrade to Windows 8 Pro.. can this upgrade do that?

Need to upgrade from Windows 8 to Windows 8 Pro (I guess it only comes 8.1 Pro Upgrade) will that upgrade work?

Yes it will, you need to do several updates first but it will change you software from windows 8 to windows 8.1 pro with media center.
