I purchased this phone as a replacement for the phone we use for our business. I don't need a great camera and it's a good thing because the camera on this phone is average at best. While talking people tend to have trouble hearing me on their end. It can be a little confusing to operate at first. This phone, all in all, is like the camera, average at best.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Ready to go right out of the box, great price, good value

What's not so great: Not crazy about Windows 8 but not the computer's fault

This laptop was ready to go almost right out of the box. After only a few minutes of self-programming I was ready to do almost anything I wanted. Skype was ready except for putting my information in. I don't do gaming or anything. I pretty much stick to the basics of web surfing, social media, emails, etc. This computer has decent graphics and good sound, especially for the price. The speed is decent. All of the features need to be evaluated with the price of this laptop in mind. I feel that this computer is awesome for the price. It does everything my more expensive laptop did. I replaced my old laptop just because it was too slow because it was older. This computer is everything I will ever need unless I take up gaming, which will never happen. This computer also setup on my wireless network within about 2 minutes and I am not very "techy". Overall, this computer is a definite winner!

This product is... Good sound quality, A nice compact size, easy to set up, great for the basics, a breeze on my wireless network

About me... Budget Conscious, Basic web surfing & emails, Computer technology beginner

cd drive?

is there a cd/dvd drive in this unit?

There is a CD/DVD drive in this laptop. I have not used mine yet but it is there and I believe it says it is HD. I hope this helped.

Why wouldn't I want this laptop?

What WON'T I like about this laptop?

The biggest and really the only reason why you would not want this laptop is if you play a lot of games where the video and/or sound might need to be more advanced. Otherwise, if you are into the basics then I think this is a great laptop at a great price. I hope this helped.

noise

I purchased this computer a few days ago. I'm not that savvy when it comes to computers and was wondering if it is normal for a new computer to constantly be making noise? It's not too loud, but it's noticeable.

I have this computer and it does make noise a lot of the time but definitely not constantly. This computer stays pretty cool also. I don't know if the noise might be accompanied by more heat from it or not. I hope this helped.

Why is computer freezing when going into this pc or control panel...have rebooted...continues to freeze?

My computer does not do that when I go into my pc or the control panel. It definitely sounds like there is a problem with yours and you might need tech support or return it if it is not too late. I hope this helped.

AC cord always plugged in

I have an old laptop that needs to plugged in at all times because the battery is very weak, can you keep this Asus plugged in at all times or do you have to unplug it when the battery charges fully?

I keep mine plugged in all the time and it just says it is not charging and running at 97% charge all the time. When unplugged, the battery life seems good. I hope this answered your question.
