Check any of the many online reviews from photo magazines. Most expert evaluations are very impressive. Basically it’s just really nice glass in a cost cutting high quality plastic body. I have EF lenses and I must say, other than it’s basic build quality this little lens really stands up.
Oh, by the way. Because of the plastic body it’s VERY lightweight.
I’m using it primarily in real estate photography for the small bedrooms and bathrooms that don’t quite fit in my EF 20mm. It’s not the brightest but that’s ok in a bright room. The lens seems to have a nice sweet spot at around 12 to 14mm.
I’ve yet to use it for video but it seems to have been built with that in mind as the auto focus is just dead silent.
At $279 you won’t be disappointed!

Some nice updates to a real workhorse prosumer DSLR. I’m doing real estate photography and wanted to upgrade my EOS 40D (which still is used daily by the way!)
I love that I can set up everything and compose the shot using live view through my iPad Pro. Auto bracketing for HDR is really nice too.
I was at first really torn between the 80D and the 5D for a couple hundred more. I really wanted to have the full frame sensor, and I have several EF lenses, but the specs were just so much better on the 80 that I ended up going with it instead.
If you’re looking for a new camera, or want to upgrade your Rebel and already have a crop sensor (EF-S) lens, you won’t be disappointed!

I recently moved to an area that had all the major network towers within 25 miles and was sick of paying for cable. I must have tried every indoor antenna Best Buy had and came to the conclusion that if you’re less than 20 or so miles of the tower these antennae all work the same. I got the same reception from this, the flat wall hanging antenna, and the most expensive indoor antenna Best Buy carries. Use one of the tower locating apps or websites to determine how far out you are and buy accordingly, you may find $$$ isn't the determining factor with indoor antennas. (Hint, they work better in a window)
