We bought this to replace our prior HP slimline(from 2004) Have only owned it for a short while, but so far are very pleased with it. It is slightly larger than our 2004 slimline, but still slim. About 4 1/2" wide. About 12" tall. It is about 15" long. Newer format takes some getting used to compared to our older '04 pc, but it is very user friendly. Mouse works great and keyboard too. Works fast. No complaints so far. I would recommend this product.

Is the cd/dvd reader & writer hiding?

From the picture of this computor I can't see the cd/dvd player & writer. Where are they? on top or behind the front cover sideways?
The cd/DVD is hidden behind the upper left panel you see in the picture. There's a door that flips open and discs insert vertically. ( I agree it is hard to see where the drive would be in the stock photo. )

Can a 2nd hard drive be inserted?

There are 2 USB ports on back and 2 on front (if that helps answer your question?)
