It's good and works well as expected. Computer (Windows and Ubuntu Linux operating system) recognizes it right away. I only use it to backup and save my files and do not use the software that comes with it but it works well. Make sure you get it when it's on sale to save some money.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It works good as expected - It comes with windows and Mac utility software to do backups/ password lock drive but I do not use it since I mostly use it with a linux OS. I just use it as a extra external data drive and copy files over when needed. Came already formatted in ntfs format and the computer recognizes it and works and I got it on sale so it was good for my needs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Will it work with Unix or Leinx systerm

Yes it does. I use it with Ubuntu Linux. It comes formatted in ntfs and linux will recognize it right away as a drive and you can copy files to/from it. It comes with backup utility software that is for Windows and Mac only but that is no big deal because I am sure you can get a similar backup software for linux for free.
