My Superdrive on my Mac 10.5.6 would not read the Snow Leopard upgrade disk, but it would read music CD's. I tried the external one that Apple has and it would not work, because my Mac it is not compatible with it. I believe it needs a powered USB port which was not an option on my Mac. So, I purchased this external drive, hooked it up, and installed the Snow Leopard disk. It read it and I was able to upgrade my Mac! The other great thing about this product is that it is compatible with Mac and Windows. I will be using it for my Windows RT too when needed.

I was having problems with my Internet including slow browsing speeds and Internet connectivity. I purchased this router and my problems were fixed. It was easy to set up and get my home network back up and running to normal conditions. It also has 2.4 and 5.0 Hz options.

What's great about it: tall enough for HTC cell phone.
I'm using it as a phone bag vs its true purpose of a camera. But can use for either.

We have also updated our TV to the genie with Direct TV and this router does not allow our on Demand to work. Do you think this router will solve my problem?
We just switched to DishNet and the tech set up the wireless when he was here for the install. You can go to your settings on your Satellite menu and look for Internet connections or something like that. From there you should be able to search for your router and the system should set up configurations. On your tablets, did you scan for wireless connections? I would think the tablets would find any wireless signals that are available. If it is finding the signal, maybe the router channel needs to be changed. I had that happen to me once way back when and tech support helped me out. Tech support is also a great resource to use at Netgear.

Wireless Comcast Xfinity Modem and Router combined
I have a Comcast wireless modem with router inside, and ever since they put me on wireless, my service to the lower level of my house has been horrible (the modem/router is in the far room upstairs). Can I connect this when there's already a router inside of the wireless modem that I'm using? Would it be better to insist that they put me back on a wired modem and then use this router with that?
I don't know for sure if it will do that. I have a Satellite modem which has a port for Ethernet. I used the patch cable that comes with the router to connect the two together and then used this router to broadcast my wireless signal. Do you have concrete walls or big obstacles that could be interfering with your wireless signal? These could cause problems. Maybe try moving the modem to another location too where it would be more centered over your network devices. Good luck.
