Easy to program, very easy to operate. There is a "help" button to fix any errors the remote makes in an activity (i.e you point the remote the wrong way and everything but the TV comes on) and it really, really works well! You dont need to dig into the device menu at all, just hit the help button. All of my devices were available in the database, and i do have some odd ones. The only things keeping it from 5 stars are some ergonomic issues - the buttons are very similar in size and shape making it difficult to pick up in a dark room, also the backlighting is pretty weak.
I would recommend this to a friend!

No increase in range or throughput from linksys N router. This thing is huge and expensive.

Does it know what devices are already on?

Does this remote remember what devices are already on? For example, if I am watching TV and I decide to play my Xbox One (and hit the Xbox or Gaming Programmed Activity) does it realize the TV is already on and just change the input or will it run the command to turn the TV on, which turns the TV off?
In my experience, if you are using the activity based commands, it does remember. I think this means you need to use the help button to fix an issue with an activity (i.e the receiver comes on, but the TV doesnt) rather than digging into the device menu and manually fixing the issue. This should not be a problem because the "help" button really, really works. I was not expecting that functionality at all, and to me it's the best feature of the remote.

What comes with the remote ?

Do you had to purchase IR & Flasher To work with the Control, because all my components are locate in the Closet ?
it only comes with the remote, and the remote is infrared, requiring line of sight.
