I've become a Sonos fan, not the cheapest way to go but the sound is amazing and you can literally put this speaker anywhere in your home, move it day to day if you want, and it fills the air with amazing sound. The Sonos 1's are pretty amazing, the 3 is more than double the 1's with depth and clarity unsurpassed.

It looked like a cool idea, but it also looked like it might not work as well as a standard washer being so small. I was skeptical for sure. Made the decision to go with it and couldn't be happier. It works great to just do a few quick things, or you can run it at the same time as the full size washer to get just that much more done at once. Been using it a month now and love it.

We purchased the super size washer dryer combo. I thought at first that we could work with it on the floor to save our storage above the units, but the salesman wisely told us that the drawer would add not only storage space, but it would also greatly increase the standing height comforts level when moving items from washer to dryer. He was quite right on both accounts, it was well worth the trade off of a shelf up above it.

After trying for hours and realizing I was not going to be able to properly install my new dishwasher I called Best Buy and asked for help. They scheduled a tech to come out within just a couple days. He was on time, friendly, and very knowledgable about the install. Once completed he ran through all the "how to" operational guidelines as well which I did not expect from an installer to tale the time to do.

can you pair up the play 3 speaker with 2 play ones and make sterio?
The play three is actually "stereo" all in one, but if you mean will it sort the tones left and right, no they won't do that. Only if you link to a sound bar for surround sound will the play 1's sort sounds. However, as I type this, I have 2 sound bars, one sub, two play 3's, and 4 play ones playing all through my home and it's amazing.... Sonos is pretty incredible, you can do so many things. I could part these speakers up on the iPad ap that I just listed now, and be able to have full surround on two tv's (playing different movies), plus listen to different music in my bedrooms, garage, and back yard all at the same time! Now, you do need a pretty good signal to get that crazy, but it totally works.
If you like music, dive in! Sonos ROCKS!

do you need an outlet - or will batteries suffice
They require a plug, the wireless feature is the speaker wires are not required, works off wifi

Can you sync both the LG soundbar and portable speaker to play music at the same time? Kinda like the Sono.
They do have a box I believe it's called "connect" which can be used to pair your existing wired system up to work with the Sonos. I had this in one room of my house where I have an old hi fi with a turntable which I like to use to listen to old vinyls. The conect box is pricey, but it will allow you to sync up pretty much any other speakers you currently have... Of course I have to tell you, nothing will compare to the Sonos sound, so eventually you will end up replacing everything to be Sonos just like I did... So think twice about the $350 connect, you can buy two Sonos 1's for the same price : )

Does the sidekick plug into the main washing machine, or will I need to have a new electrical box installed if I currently only have 2 outlets in the area of the washer/dryer?

Is this stackable with a dryer?
The base of the washer is designed to pair with it, plus you would have to work with a completely different hose set up. I would not suggest trying it just due to the fact that the more hoses, the more chance for future leaks.

Can this unit work independently as a washer? That is, does it *have* to be paired with a full-size LG washer? Or can it be used as a small washer by itself?
I'm afraid I'm not sure, I have them hooked up and working in tandem. In looking back on how the install worked I suppose you could, but this is very small capacity. As in two pillow cases maximum.
