We have used it only for several days, but it seems fine. It was easy to set up with the Quick Reference Guide.

re getting messages from another phone

I lost my manual how do I retrieve messages from another phone (out of town)
You can get the manual on line or just read it on line. You dial into your number and when the phone answers you enter the Remote Access Code you set.

Does phone plug in outlet in wall or is chordless mean you can put them anywhere in home

The base phone unit is plugged into the phone line and a wall outlet. The handset of the base has no wires. The other units are plugged into an outlet and are NOT plugged into the phone line. The handsets have no wires connecting them to the base.
