Works just as good as the cable company's box. Please Note that This DOES work with Comcast Infinity, Comcast will tell you that you need their box for your services to work, but that is not the truth, you will however loose phone service, this unit does not have a phone jack, but I never used that function so it was no loss even though it was bundled. Now I save an additional $10 as of 2015 a month for a "rental" fee so it will pay for itself in a year!
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Battery Hype is overrated, the battery after the first update is amazing now, and keeps getting better! The build on the unit is Outstanding, design build quality is amazing!

What's not so great: Nothing so far
Fantastic product, not only the ease of set up, but hooking up the actual wires from the old thermostat was a breeze!

would i put my modem ,where the wire comes in the house
would the best spot for your modem be at the beginning ,where the wire comes in the house
There is no "best spot" it has to be connected to the cable at some point in the house, depending on the provider they might need to place a db filter on that specific line, I usually let them come in and set up their modem then after the 1st month, call customer service, and have them come back out and get their equipment and have them initiate my new Motorola modem at the same time. NOTE that with Comcast, this process to get the modem onto their network could take up to 3 hours so be prepared for me it took less than an hour but network traffic and the competency of the Rep has a lot to play into that
