I found a very similar TV mount at another retailer for much less. Also, some reviewers stated the tilt ability was limited and has to be done prior to hanging. This is correct. The mount works just fine and is of good quality, but I feel it is grossly overpriced.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

How would I mount this over the fireplace.

Is it difficult to mount this above the fireplace? The rock is all different sizes and shapes and come out different lengths. Special long bolts and good drill to make the holes ?
I did not find it difficult. I have a chase framed out by regular studs, not a masonry fireplace. The studs were not centered (I have pictures from before the drywall was installed) but the bracket allows for this with the slots. Rocketfish also includes a cardboard template you can put up to figure out where the mount will go. A simple stud finder, ratchet set, and drill for pre-drilling will be all you need to install this mount.
