I use my Kindle Fire daily. I surf the net, check email, watch my kids school loop accounts and read everyday. My laptop sees very little use these days - only for the bigs jobs where I'd like the use of a keyboard. I my games and my books all available at my fingertips with plenty of memory left...my photos are available at the click of a button on the Amazon Cloud app. My daughters each use thiers to download their college books via pdf and have them at their fingertips. Saves them hundreds every semester on books too.
I would recommend this to a friend!

ALOT - i have over 150 on mine AND pdf and emails and games and other apps - still have lots of space.

Can you add a memory card? Can you view a page in sunlight like the Paperwhite?

Can you use a memory card or attach a thumb drive to move files? Can you save or download Word documents to view? Can you use Adobe to view pdf files?
How is the bookpage display? Does it look like a regular paper page, like the Paperwhite? Or can the display be adjusted?
No - there is no external storage options except for the cloud - which works great for me to move files from one place to another. Yes - I can use word and excel using a $5 app - even edit - and adobe has a free reader for the Kindle Fire so all pdf files can be read. No - the screen is a tablet screen not a white screen - you do get bright light glare but the screen can be adjusted. I read on my Fire daily..I love that I don't have to leave a light on to read in bed.

Can you see it if you are outside in the sun (as in reading on the beach)?

There is glare on the Fire. I use my regular kindle for outdoor reading.
