Drain pipe height

My drain pipe is 32" tall and I can't tell the diameter, but it doesn't look 2" across. It is not a problem with my current machine which is 36.5" tall, but the LG is 40.5". Some of the comments I have read state this could be a problem. I will be buying a new washer and dryer as soon as next week. Should I be changing things out?

It may be in your best interest to ask an appliance expert on that.

Is it safe to dye clothes using powdered dye in this machine?

I need to dye 18 pillow cases using Rit dye. I have done this successfully for years in my old washer that had an agitator. Now that I have this new washer, will the results be as satisfactory? Will it harm the washer in any way? Any special instructions?

I used to do that with my old type agitator quite a few years ago but I would not, nor have I ever, tried in these as their features are different. But I'm not a pro on that so maybe call the 800 line & ask them to be sure.

the washer is about 5 months old and did not squeak at first. it has been doing it for 6 to 8 week now. only when washing. WT110cw

Maybe you need to simply get it serviced as some things just do that right out of the blue . . .

can you use tide pods in this machine

I see that there is a place to insert liquid. Can I throw a tide pod in with the laundry instead? they are HE pods.

Yes you can add these & any powder to the load before you start the program. You will need to cut down the size of them as they are too much soap for these as they are totally energy efficient.

Does this machine allow you to added a garment after the cycle has already been started?

Yes. All you need to do is stop it at the control panel & it will pick up where it left off as long as you don't walk away & wait any length of time.

Does this particular model vibrates tremendously when it spins?

I am seriously considering buying this particular Samsung washer and all the reviews I have read so far has not mentioned any problem with troubling vibration when the machine is in a spinning mode during the rinse cycle. Is it really that quiet?

No it does not & I am totally happy with all it's features & performance.

Everywhere I read that front loaders clean better than he top loaders. Is this true for this specific washer as well?

That may depend on what you consider cleaning it . . . I am a very short woman so I just use a small stepstool in my kitchen.
