What's great about it: Easy to input an address
What's not so great: Some features come at an additional charge.
The Garmin voice feature is great! It understands me perfectly when I'm dictating an address. The smart link app is also a great touch when you have someone's address already inputed in your smart phone's address book. You can easily send it to your GPS in a snap. The smart link app also has additional features like photo live cameras and live traffic. I just wish they didn't charge an additional fee!

will this Garmin charge while you use it?

I have an older Garmin and it can only be charging when you are not using it. Really sucks. Have they fixed that?
I have the Garmin nuvi 2597LMT and I do charge it while in use, so yes. :-)
