What's great about it: Simple and works well with Xfinity/Comcast
What's not so great: It runs really warm and the LED's are too bright
Replaced my Comcast all in one modem/router surfboard units with this modem and an Asus RT-AC66U router. The combination works perfectly and my speed and performance is much better over the providers rented unit. I have been using it for about a month now without any problems or issues. I would definitely recommend it if you already have a router.

Comcast Phone service

does this modem accommodate/work with Comcast phone service?
No, I do not believe it does. It is a basic modem with a single Ethernet port so you can only connect 1 device. I connected a router to it and my router manages all of my network connections.
