I bought this when it was on sale and prior to a 4-day family trip out of state. It was nice to be able to plug in all our tech gadgets in one place. The blue light is a nice feature and the 7 cables it came with makes this a good buy for me although I have no use for the 30 pin cables. The cables are short and flat - it's less bulky that way and best for travel. I bought 2 extra retractable cables as tablets are big and space could be tight with all cables being short. Power supply is bulky.

I have been a Fitbit user for the last 3 years... it would not connect to my network. I tried to connect via PC and via app on my iPhone for 4 hours and gave up for the day. A found a forum on Fitbit site, people had issues connecting. There's a workaround that is not simple and a security concern for me. Note, my network is good for 802.11b/g/n. I will be returning this. I may buy again later when Fitbit fix the network connectivity.

Just received yesterday and tried right away. This is my first of this brand while my previous 2 were by Belkin. I plugged in my iPhone on the side where it says phone, the red light came on to indicate charging. When fully charged, green light came on. Don't know how many minutes. Eventually, the light turned off. Am assuming it stops charging once fully charge. My iPhone is in a Otter case. With the case my phone would not fit the slot. I don't have a tablet so I can't rate based on that. However, I plugged in my Fitbit Blaze on the tablet USB side. My Fitbit indicated it was charging but the red or green light never came on. Am guessing the outlet detected it's not a tablet (a lot less power required). Nonetheless, it will charge any USB device. The slot will probably hold your tablet or phone if they are not in a case. Nice looking and cheaper than my Belkins. Red and green light indicators are nice features. I took a star off because my phone would not fit the slot unless I remove the case first - not my preference. I wish it's slightly wider.

I considered Apple Watch for $369 but I just couldn't justify the cost. Battery life was a deal breaker for me also. Apple watch is only 18 hours per charge.
Being familiar with Fitbit app and happy with it, I purchased Blaze to replace my Charge that no longer hold charge after 2 years of use.
Blaze is the most attractive of the Fitbit assortments that are out there. The LCD is a touch screen, bigger, in color, and responsive. It is a decent fitness tracker that comes with basic smart watch notification (text/call/calendar). I am not a swimmer nor do I shower with a watch on so water/sweat resistant is good enough for me. NO GPS built in on Blaze but also not a big deal. I can piggy back off my cell phone, if I need accurate distance measurement
I took 1 star off because there are 2 things I don't like: (1) flimsy looking charger (2) improved but still cheap material band/strap it comes with.
I immediately bought 2 spare bands (leather and stainless steel). I wish the charger is similar to Apple - where it is magnetic and USB on the other end.
There are multiple clock displays to choose from depending on your mood or contents you want to show. I am hoping a software update would add weather info here.

I have used it twice to charge my iPhone. I can use my iPhone even while charging. I can use the existing cord to charge my phone.
