I got this when the cable company decided to raise their rates for basic local channel only cable. I now get more and clearer channels than before. I wish I would have purchased sooner. I removed an old satellite dish and used its mount for the antenna.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Do I need amp for 50' coax?

I'm placing this unit outside on a mast and it will be connected to a four room splitter. Will I need any kind of amplifier to get signals?
I have mine mounted where an old satellite dish was previously mounted. Then through a splitter and into the pre existing wiring in the house. I am guessing it is about 80-100 feet to both tvs I have plugged in. The broadcasting stations are about 20-30 miles away. I get a good strong signal from every station within range. You may need an amp if your broadcasting stations are on the outer limits of the range of the antenna.
