This ink cartridge is compatible with select HP Deskjet, PhotoSmart and OfficeJet printers, and allows you to print documents with crisp, black text.

I'm still using the start up cart.

What's great about it: The start up version is great
What's not so great: Don't know.
I'm still using the start up cartridge so I'll have to assume that this on will last a long time. They are easy to install and effortless to do so.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What is the expiration date on this cartridge?

expiration dates on any product are usually the last day the manufacturer will guarantee the product to be useable. Most will be good far after that date if stored properly.

Is it cheaper to print in black or color?

I have a c310a hp printer and I buy 564xl ink for it as it seems more economical. My question is:
Is it cheaper to use colored ink or print out using black ink?
In my experience it has been much cheaper to use black ink to print black. The printer will mix the colors to get black and while you may print longer, the color inks are much more expensive to purchase.
