compatibility
I have a Dell Venue 8 Pro.Would this work with it for storage?also is it compatible with android devices?...thank you
It depends on whether your device can handle storage that large. Most older devices don't, only the newest model do. Because the specifications doesn't speak to the size in GB of the micro chip it can handle, you can assume that it doesn't handle larger than the lowest that you can purchase. If you buy a large size chip, the device only use the amount that the device can access. You might check this feature on future purchases. I recommend Samsung. You can read in the specs how large of a chip it will hold. Note: the physical size of the chip is the same; however, how much data it can hold is where size is important. Like a CD vs DVD. The physical size is the same but if you put a DVD in a CD writer, it will only write and access the CD size amount of information. The rest of the empty space is just inaccessible for that model. If you use that same chip on a device that can read the entire chip, you will be able to read the files from the previous device; however, if you write files to thee chip from the device that can read the entire chip and try to use it on the device that can"t read the entire chip, the results are unpredictable, but you probably will lose data. Big risk.
