Great with a couple setbacks

The G930 has been my headset savior. I was in need of a wireless and durable headset and this delivered.
The two issues I have though is the intermittent power cycling that happens. The headset seems to reset whether being used with my PC or PS4. Maybe interference (though advertised to protect against it) due to the 2.4 GHz freq but I have not found a permanent solution.
Then the other but minor setback is not getting the 7.1 surround sound when plugged into the PS4.
Overall I would still recommend this to anyone needing a steel headset that won't break after extensive correct use.

does the 7.1 actually work on ps4? or just stereo?
the stereo mode works but not the 7.1? is the 7.1 surround sound only for pc?
Yes, the 7.1 surround sound is PC only. The software that comes with the headset or downloaded provides the drivers to do so. I do wish they considered that for the consoles too.

Do these continue to randomly turn off when charging?
I see that the largest problem with these seems to be that they randomly turn off throughout their lifespan. Does this occur still when they are plugged in and charging, or do they only cut off when they are not plugged in? I know my Astro A50s will turn off if they do not detect sound after a minute or 2.
Unfortunately the answer is yes, they still cut off or cycle power whether plugged in or not plugged in. I have also done a few changes to settings to get the headset to stop not detecting sound and that was a short lived solution. Trying to narrow down what causes this because this also happens when connected to my PS4. Possibly getting interference from another device in my house (wi-fi router?).
