Mine failed after about a month of wear. I suspect a short in the wiring in the phone mic module due to sweat. If you don't use them for any activity that involves the chance of getting them damp, you'll probably be OK.
When the worked, the sound quality was great and I liked the fit. I'm not sure what I will replace them with but I won't be buying these again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I-phone compatible?

Does the mic and the controls work with I-Phones???
I never used these earbuds with my phone. I only used them with an ipod. There are no controls for music playback - no FF or repeat control, just a mic.
