This will give you the ability to navigate through the menus on the screen rather than trying to do it using the buttons. This is a much easier way to change settings. Of course, it also makes it easy to frame you shots.

What's great about it: Great focal length at a great price
This lens is worth the money. It takes nice pictures and is priced very well for a full frame lens. Not a replacement for the higher end lenses but a great starter lens / keep in the backpack while traveling lens.

This camera is amazing. Nikon has never been known for being fast focusing but this camera changes that. Not only is the focus fast and accurate, it will focus in very low light!!! Also has a good weight and feel to it. It's like having a fast focusing version of the D810 in a package the size of the D610. The 24-120 f4 lens that comes with it is reasonably sharp and is a great walk around lens. The is truly a fantastic full frame package!!

does it have to be attached to the gopro for you to control it . Can I use it from a far?

say instead of my tab can I use that as a view screen remote control.?
It must be attached to the camera to use it. It gets power from the camera battery and does not have its own built in battery. It also does not have any wireless capabilities. Its just an add on touch screen.

Is a Nikon 70-300 mm f/4.5-5.6 G lens compatible with a Nikon D3100

I have a D3100 Nikon camera and I want to buy a telephoto lens for it. Is a good option?
This is a full frame lens and might be overkill for a D3100 but it will work just find on the camera. It will give you a DX focal length equivalent of 105-450

Will this lens work on my Nikon J1 camera?

No, at least not without some sort of adapter. Not sure if they make an adapter or not but as it sits, it will not fit.
