never heard of the screen that you are referring to.i have a screen that came with another projector that I have. in my screening room. the paint is a dark color but it is not the only color you can use.the color that you intend to paint your room would be perfect.i too am going to paint my room a grey color.i haven't watched the projector with a curtain open but I have watched it with the light on.the picture was fine.i also watch tv sometimes in daylight.my is Epson 3020 3d. I would not watch in direct sun light.it is a projector and not a tv.i really think you would love this projector.also get a good sound system.when you hear explosions you want to experience all the right sounds.i have a bose system.a projector is for special times.
