We upgraded to this refrigerator & love it. Not trying to knock Whirlpool, but we did not want a Whirlpool fridge. We compared several refrigerators that had the same options. For the money, this was the best refrigerator. It has water & ice on the door & plenty of storage room for our big family.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What accessories are required to be purchased for a new installation to be complete?
Do I need a water line kit or power cord, etc...?
Power cord is attached, but for the ice maker to work you will need to run a water line to the back of the fridge. I would also put a shut-off valve in the line when you run it so you can shut the water off if you need to.

Which water line install kit should be used with my Frigidaire refrigerator, copper or stainless steel?
I would personally use copper or the flexible plastic tubing. I always use the flexible plastic because it easily allows me to move the fridge out, if I need to get behind it for some reason. Copper will work but you can kink it or break it if it is moved too much.

Width of Unit
Our current space is almost exactly 36 inches, Is the width of the refrigerator at 36 inches or is it slightly less ?.... would hate to have it delivered and it be too wide !!
It is slightly less. You will have about 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch to work with

Is there storage room around/on the same shelf as the ice maker?
Yes, but minimal. We put a frozen pizza beside our ice maker, and there is a small shelf where you can put ice cream bars, or some other smaller items.

Do magnets stick to the door
I have noticed that only about 30% of stainless steel fridges are magnetic, which is important to me. A similar model FGHS2655PF was reviewed as being magnetic, but I wanted to know if this one is as well.
