With the Bose Companion 20 is there an extension cable (speaker to computer) if the original cable/wire is too short?

The connector on the left speak is AWM E320450. The connector seems to be unique and not a standard 3.5mm cable with connectors. Many blogs say that you can't find an extention for it...even from BOSE. Sugguestions?
I believe they call it a 1/8 inch cable. I just used the old cord off my old speaker system. Now that I think back , it did come with all the cables . I just put the ones I did not need away.
