Can I use this one for VOIP?

Is this set usable ONLY for AT &T? Can I use it for internet based VOIP calls, when I have vonage like phone connection?

I use Ooma with no problems which is also a VOIP. No issues in set up or using. the only hiccup is that both systems have an answering system built in, If I'm on the phone, my Ooma system answers. If I'm not on the phone the phone answering system takes over.
