I like saving my clients money! Because the Service providers have the tendency to nickle and dime you to death!
I would recommend this to a friend!

The life expectancy i have seen as a Network Consultant is usually 6-8 years on one of these surfboard cable modems. Well worth buying one to save service provider monthly appliance fees. For your internal network if you have only 3 or 4 devices connected to the network could see some improvement, if you are currently only connected to the sbg860a, that is if you are not using a gigabit switch to connect your internal devices. If you use an internal Gigabit switch you should see no difference in performance. And your hard wired internet connections will probably not change noticeably, but the WiFi should improve in distance and in performance speed.

Your Wifi connectivity will probably increase a fair amount in speed and distance, but the hard wired connection will probably not change dramatically. Unless your service provider (Comcast?) is giving you an excess of 200 mb/s download speeds.
