Photo are marred by parallel lines across the page
We just bought an ENVY 7640. Our first few printed pages (<10) included 3 prints of color photos that were taken with a Nikon D3300. To my dismay, each photo printed out with a series of parallel lines -- very light, but still noticeable at arm's length -- running across the 8.5 inch dimension of the printing paper at about 1/2 inch intervals from the top of the printed image to the bottom. Our previous printer developed the same problem; I bought the 7640 after a Best Buy salesman told me that the problem was probably the result of dirty printer heads and that it would be better to replace that printer than try to fix the problem. What is causing this problem and, more to the point, what do we do to eliminate it?
