These were designed for desktop use, but whats the point of having surround sound speakers if you cant even mount them?
You are better off getting the 2.1 version for desktop use, or going with a higher quality mountable set of speakers for anywhere else.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Quality of sound is alright for what I paided. The legs are bulky though, and the red light ontop is always on as long as its plugged in, would have been nice if it only turned on when it was taking input, but it was an overall good purchase
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just got these today and rear speakers are not working at all!!!!

Why would my rear speakers not be working ?? Alls properly hooked up :/
There are several reasons the rear speakers could not be producing sound:

1)The Audio you are trying to output is not 5.1 compatible
2)Your computer may not have properaly set your speakers to 5.1, to change this go into your playback sound settings, right click the speakers you wish to change and click configure speakers.
3) The Rear speakers may be out, and you should return the product.

Can this system be used with an iPod Touch?

Yes, this product will fit any jack that is 3.5MM in size. Most Headphone jacks are 3.5MM in size.
