I was happy to hear Apple was going to finally release a rechargeable mouse, however, to my disappointment, they put the charging port on the bottom. Why on earth would you do that? it renders it useless while recharging. Every other brand put the port on the front so you can continue to use it. Poor design decision. Otherwise, works just like the battery powered one. I would suggest looking at other options from Logitech or other.

I like the fact they finally came out with a rechargeable keyboard, but where is the backlit keys? Logitech's K811 is far superior in typing experience and features.

I purchased 5 sets of these for our office and everyone has been very pleased with them. For the price, I don't think you will get a better wireless keyboard and mouse experience.
Keyboards have a good feel to them and the mouse is comfortable enough for average daily use.
Our office has only been using them for about a month now, so I cannot comment on their longevity. The battery life seems good, no replacements yet with 8+ hour a day usage.
If you are looking for a no frills wireless keyboard and mouse, I suggest you give this one a try.

I purchased this to replaced another product that kept dropping signal to my router. I have had it connected for 3 weeks without any loss of signal. Works great and is super easy to sync up if you already have a Netgear router ( or any other router with a WPS option ). Just push the WPS buttons on each device and within a minute you are up and running.
I highly recommend Netgear products. Good quality and very reliable.

Will this work for the 2012 Mac Book Pro?
No, the retina models lost the super drive, thus thinning down the device. You would need to find a 2012 specific option.

will the keyboard and the mouse work with macbook air?
Yes, you will just need to adjust the modifier keys in system preferences to switch around your command and option keys, or just adjust to them being reversed.

I have connected my Mac Pro to a large screen. What keyboard and mouse should I buy?
I am a Logitech fan. I have been extremely satisfied with the K750 for Mac, solar keyboard. No need to worry about battery replacement, given enough light. Since the K750 has the unifying receiver, you can sync up a wireless mouse with the same USB connector. I suggest the Logitech performance MX mouse, very comfortable to use and has rechargeable battery (user replaceable).
