This model has all the wifi capability of the fancier color screen models but at less than 1/2 the cost. Works great just not all the bells and whistles of the color screen. I had a few questions about the install but Honeywell phone support was outstanding, they even helped me better understand the HVAC system in a house that I had recently purchased. Plus you know that Honeywell will be around years from now...
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is my 3rd Slingbox purchase over the years, I have enjoyed all of them. This one has a new small footprint, runs much cooler, and has a redesigned power supply. Got it for only $99 on a one day sale. Looking forward to years of slinging.

I would like more information and how to set up Sling box

I have wireless system in my home. There are 1 desktop and 1 laptop computers with a"pad" of some type planned for Christmas. I don't have smart tvs but have three hgtv and may get a fourth for the garage or workshop. Can you help me plan how to setup a Sling box so we can take advantage of the programming and recorded content on our Dish. Can I get rid of extra Dish boxes and replace them with Sling? Thanks
You could get rid of the extra Dish boxes but you would have to have a way to sling to the TV's, a couple of options - buy the sling app for the soon to be pad and then if Apple ipad use Airplay and an Apple TV, or buy a Roku with the sling app already installed. Either would be required at each TV. Chomecast could work in a similar manner as well. Personally I use a Apple TV and airplay - works very well.

1080p?

The Best Buy ad copy says 1080p in two different places ("Stunning 1080p HD programming" and "Compatible with select HD video sources up to 1080p"). How is this possible when the unit only has a Component input, rather than HDMI?
