What's great about it: It is the one that is recommended for my refrigerator
This is the refrigerator filter for the water and ice dispenser in my Frigidaire refrigerator. It is pretty easy to install and it works for between 6 and 9 months, per the manufacturer's recommendation.

How often does the filter need to be replaced?

The manufacturer recommends replacing the filter every 6 to 9 months. We can always tell when we need to replace it. The water starts tasting off.
