This made my subwoofer Just Rock! I have an older powered unit, and the wire across the floor didn't work in my busy household. so its behind my couch, and the lamp share the same outlet, out of site and really sounds awesome. we watched the star wars movie and I found myself ducking in the fight scenes.
So the only thing I can suggest to improve would be to plug it into your amplifier for power, so it can be turned off when not in use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does the transformer on the receiver not cause interference? I sent back a similar pair of devices because, when I plugged the receiver unit into the sub and powered it up, I got a deep hum (lower than 50Hz) which stayed there regardless of input signal

was it a rocketfish device? i was worried about that with my amp. but no problems have been detected. I have hooked it up to a pioneer , a relic tecnique from the 70's and now irs on my integra and its has been pretty flawless and the sound is very clean and crisp. no humming of other issues. although I did finally have to hook it up to the amplifier for the power source, as their isn't an external power switch for the sending unit.

How to install the sender to the receiver.

use the supplied wire to hook up the sending unit to your subwoofer out jack. then use second wire to hook up subwoofer to he reciever unit, plug them all in and enjoy@!
