i had 2 purpose of getting this , one for spot lighting subject for picture taking ,, and of course the occasional blackout ... this has poor light output ... and puts out minimal light .. when on the cap ,it is just heavy on the cap ... a better solution for that is a more powerful lumen light with a head band type .
if you are in total darkness ,, of course this is better than nothing ,, in a blackout at nite .. .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

it not just hold cd ,, but i use this as a sun blocker ,, i been waiting for a sale $5 ,,, and got 2 ,, one for each car. . .put a piece of thin cardboard between it and the sun visor ,, and you got an extender to block them bad sun rays hitting your head .
.. why my new car does not have the extender visor and my older previous same model does ,, is a a shame ...

i bought this as a test ,,and because it was on sale $30 and more off with BB rewards ,,, I was a little surprised it worked as i am about 40 miles from nyc channel towers .. I wanted to play by just putting it about 14' up from the ground and got all if not most of the channels .and can stand on the ground to put up and take down ,, with out having to climb on the roof ..
however, i also bought a bigger antenna with 80 miles range which is about 3 times bigger and of course it worked better pulling in the signal at the same height .. but my final plan to use this smaller antenna is to go up about 24 feet to pull in philly stations in the opposite direction ... and expect the GE to work fine since philly towers are about 40 miles too ...
Tip for all wanting a use ota antenna ,, the bigger the better, , the higher the better ,, and of course point it at the right direction ,, go to either of these 2 website to determine your direction to point ... because it gives you a map to make super easy to find ..

This is my most recent buy ,, i been eyeing the 40" insigna , but when this was on sale for $200 ,, i swooped in for the kill ... great basic tv for basic tv watching , nice pic , nice louder sound than the smaller 19" and 24" insigna that i have and they all work with the same remote .. if you have bb rewards it will be even cheeper ... i am a happy camper with all my insigna tv purchases .. for the past 3-4 years of use ..

i recently purchase a well known other brand and it fell apart from use ,,, they are cheep cheep in cost ,, and the blade scissor design works better for me than the rotary round ones ... They are all cheep in plastic and durability but so is the cost to just buy another one when needed ..

i picked up another 2 while at store, , i keep them every where in my bags, car, around the house ,, since i keep forgetting where i put a cover down ... so the bestbuy covers are cheep cheep to buy a bunch .. you don't need to pay thru the nose for an oem cover ...
