I liked this headset, I got it for a friend. It's got decent sound quality for what it is and worth, and I like smaller headsets over the large cupped ones. Excellent voice quality with the mic. Would recommend for those who need a headset and are on a budget.

The round blue dial is also a button. Up and down respectively.

Yes. It works perfectly with all versions of macOS on MacBooks.

Can you answer calls directly from the headset? I can't seem to do that and it just kind of defeats the purpose of being able to be away from desk and still answering phone calls.

This depends on the phone you are trying to connect to. Since this headset does not have Bluetooth capabilities, unlikely. It only functions with the paired USB Nano Receiver it comes with. If you want bluetooth with the headset, get the H800 Model
