Purchased this equipment as a replacement after having bought the HP 4800 Photo Scanner recently; returned the HP 4800 due to connectivity & compatibility issues. GS insurance helped to a point, but still had issues w/the HP 4800 Photo Scanner. Tho previously never had problems w/previous HP Scanners, this Epson scanner is by far MUCH MUCH better than the HP. Highly recommend it, even for an office (medical, dental, etc) environment!

Does this Perfection V550 scanner by Epson work with Windows 7 - 64bit ?
I have a Canoscan 3000EX scanner. No driver exists to run this scanner on Windows 7 -64bit. They refuse to provide one. So, I'm dumping Canon immediately. Will this scanner work with Windows 7 - 64 bit ( as opposed to Windows 7 - 32 bit ) ???

Our office runs both 32 & 64 bit Windows 7, & there are absolutely no problems. Besides, Epson CD includes both bit versions.
