This is a decent combo that can be used as both a tablet and as a computer. I bought this computer on a dirt cheap deal so I could have a small computer to keep in my bag. The biggest problem I have is that although I charge it every week, every time I go to get it, it is dead. Another thing that I do not like is it has a stupid charger whose cord might be 3 ft long but on the other hand it can be charged using micro usb. Ideally to me, the charging port should be on the keyboard dock and still have the micro usb on the tablet. When it is charged, the battery life is very good for such a small device. It is fairly good responsive although I sometimes have problems with the track pad responsiveness.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I upgraded from a Ramio to the Bolt. The main reason I upgraded is that I could get a new Tivo with 1 year of service, trade my Roamio and come out saving money over renewing my service. The key new features are the Skip and Quickmode. Yes they are nice but are they worth paying more over a Roamio, I have yet to find that.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It is a Tivo. It has the Tivo features. I was an owner of a Roamio Plus, but I wanted to get OTA. I went with the Roamio over the Roamio OTA because it has a Cable Card slot if I ever decide to go back to cable. The bad, it doesn't have the Stream built in and I have yet to find a stand alone one in stock anywhere.

What is the difference between this and a laptop?

If this and a laptop were close in price, is there any advantage to a tablet?
The advantage is that the "screen" come off from the keyboard and your tablet is a fill computer.

Is there a monthly fee for tv roamio dvr just to record shows on free tv with an antena, no cable?

You have to pay for Tivo service in order to get the DVR service.

can you hook it up to SAT????

I would like to record programs that i miss due to being sick?
It will not work with Satellite providers.
