What's great about it: It supports the tv well and has a tilt feature
This wall mount supports a tv well and provides a sleek, modern and space saving way to take in a movie or your favorite show. The Geek Squad also did a great installation so I didn't need to worry about a thing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

After TV is on wall should it be able to slide on wall mount?

I have mounted the wall plate and hangers. After installing the TV onto the wall plate I was adjusting the tilt angle and noticed that it would slide along the wall mout nt with little resistance. Is there a way to stop it from sliding along the wall plate?
The installers told me that it is designed to move backward and forward so you can place the tv where you want it but the mount can be right over the beams.

Do this mount allow for lateral shift?

If lateral shift means tilting forward and back, then yes (I'm not tech savvy).
