What's great about it: a larger screen is nicer to look at, and it just fits in my pocket
What's not so great: more scren draws more power
This phone works well as a phone, a camera, and the powerful minicomputer that all smart phones are.The HTC calling interface is easy to use, and voice quality is excellent.
I rarely use my phone for music, but sound quality for streaming music is good. I never use the Beats sound enhancement, but the quality of the sound makes enhancement unnecessary.
One negative is that you cannot pull the battery. I have found that Android phones get confused, and need a hard reset. Once in 4 months, I lost service, due to phone confusion. I held the power button down for several Droid/HTC flashes, and service returned. Reboot and power off/on did not fix it. I hope I don't have any problems that require a battery pull, that I won't be able to do.
The size is large, and just fits in my pocket. I haven't decided whether I will pick the same size or a smaller screen when I upgrade my phone next.

can a text message be read out loud vocally for a lady with failing eye sight? She has a HTC DNA.
I don't see that on the default SMS app that comes with the phone.There is probably an app you can download for SMS that wilf read aloud.
