There are a few false reports here and there, but I'd rather have a false report than it not go off when needed. I've driven a few thousand miles using it, and really like it. Range on Ka (most important) is great. The only real issue I have with it is that it will get sometimes when there is a really strong signal. If there's a really strong signal, it will alert K, then change to Ka as I approach a cop running "instant on", where they turn it on briefly for specific cars they think might be speeding. I've had one false laser alert as I turned into the setting sun. Otherwise, no real issues.

does this product come with a power cord?

Yes, The detector comes with a straight-cord to plug into a cigarette lighter. If you want one to mount directly to the battery or fuse box, you can purchase that from Cobra separately

Is this a corded radar detector? Does t he detector come with a windshield mounting?

From the on line description of this (SPX 6700 model) unit it is unclear if the detector is cordless or corded. Also, it is unclear if the unit comes with a windshield mounting bracket. Please confirm what is included in this package.

It is a corded detector only. Does not use batteries. The detector comes with a well-designed, and adjustable, windshield mount. Once you slip the detector onto the mount (after attaching the mount to the windshield), you'll likely need to bend the metal part of the mount up a bit so that the detector is parallel to the ground. Don't be afraid to bend the metal. It won't break on you, unless you bend it back and forth all the time. I would recommend buying an extra mount if you plan to use it in more than one vehicle.
