My modem is exactly like the large picture, except the bottom icon is blue not yellow. and it is constantly blinking. What does that mean?

When it is blue it means it is hooked up to a gigabit speed capable router or device. If it is yellow it means the device it is hooked up to (router or computer) is a sub gigabit speed device.
